About University
The University of Oregon (UO, U of O, or Oregon) is a public research university located in Eugene, Oregon. It was founded in 1876 and has expanded to include two Portland locations as well as the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston. The university also operates the Pine Mountain Observatory in Central Oregon.
