Roosevelt University, founded in 1945, is a private university located in Chicago and Schaumburg, Illinois. The university is named after United States President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. In addition to its academic programs, Roosevelt University is also home to the Chicago College of Performing Arts. The university's newest academic building, Wabash, is situated in The Loop of Downtown Chicago.
