Minnesota State University, Mankato, also known as MNSU, MSU, or Minnesota State, is a public university situated in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It has a rich history, being the second-oldest member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. Initially established as the Second State Normal School in 1858, it officially opened as Mankato Normal School ten years later. The university offers an extensive range of academic programs across seven colleges and schools.
