Minnesota State University, Mankato, also known as MNSU, MSU, or Minnesota State, is a public university situated in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It has a rich history, being the second-oldest member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. Initially established as the Second State Normal School in 1858, it officially opened as Mankato Normal School ten years later.
