Manhattanville College

Manhattanville College, originally called the Academy of the Sacred Heart, was established in 1841 in Lower Manhattan. It later became known as Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart and in 1917, it received a charter to grant degrees as the College of the Sacred Heart. The college relocated to Purchase, New York in 1952, specifically in the hamlet of Purchase within the town and village of Harrison in Westchester County.
