About University

Cornell University is a private Ivy League land-grant research university located in Ithaca, New York. It was founded in 1865 by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White with a vision of providing education to all, regardless of religion or race. Cornell is known for its commitment to co-education and non-sectarianism. The university is organized into seven undergraduate colleges and seven graduate divisions at its main campus in Ithaca. Each college and division has its own admission standards and academic programs. In addition to the main campus, Cornell also has three satellite campuses, two in New York City and one in Qatar. The main campus of Cornell spans over 700 acres of land. Over the years, Cornell has been associated with numerous distinguished individuals, including Nobel laureates, Turing Award winners, and Fields Medalists. The university has a vast network of alumni, with over 250,000 living graduates. Its alumni and faculty have achieved success in various fields, including academia, business, and sports.
