University of York

The University of York, also known as Ebor or York, is a research university in York, England. It was established in 1963 and has a diverse range of departments and centers. The university campus is located southeast of the city and covers a large area. The original campus, Campus West, includes the York Science Park and the National Science Learning Centre. It is known for its natural surroundings, including wildlife, lakes, and green spaces. In 2007, the university was granted permission to expand its main campus, which opened as Campus East in 2009. This campus is home to several colleges, departments, conference spaces, a sports village, and a business start-up 'incubator.' Additionally, the university leases King's Manor in the city center of York.
