The University of Westminster, located in London, United Kingdom, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1838 as the Royal Polytechnic Institution. It holds the distinction of being the first polytechnic to open in London. The university received a Royal charter in August 1839 and was officially renamed the University of Westminster in 1992. The main campus is situated in Regent Street in central London, while additional campuses can be found in Fitzrovia, Marylebone, and Harrow. Additionally, the university operates the Westminster International University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The university is divided into three colleges and 12 schools, encompassing approximately 65 departments and centers.
