Edinburgh Napier University is a public university located in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was originally established as Napier Technical College in 1964 and was named after the renowned Scottish mathematician and philosopher, John Napier. The college transitioned into a university in 1992 and was officially inaugurated by Lord Douglas-Hamilton, becoming Napier University. In 2009, the university underwent a name change and became known as Edinburgh Napier University. The institution is comprised of three main campuses in Edinburgh, namely Merchiston, Craiglockhart, and Sighthill. It offers a diverse range of educational programs, including transnational programs for students studying abroad or online.
