Keele University, also known as the University of Keele, is a public research university located in Keele, England. It was established in 1949 as the University College of North Staffordshire and received university status in 1962. The university is situated on a rural campus spanning 625 acres and is surrounded by woods, lakes, and Keele Hall in Staffordshire Potteries. Additionally, it features a science park and a conference centre, making it the largest campus university in the UK. The university's School of Medicine conducts its clinical courses at a separate campus within the Royal Stoke University Hospital, while the School of Nursing and Midwifery is based at the nearby Clinical Education Centre.
