Goldsmiths, University of London, is a research university located in New Cross, London. It was founded in 1891 by the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths as The Goldsmiths' Technical and Recreative Institute. In 1904, it was acquired by the University of London and renamed Goldsmiths' College. The college specializes in the arts, design, computing, humanities, and social sciences.
