About the Program
MSc Mathematical Modelling
This MSc provides training in techniques of applied mathematics, and focuses mainly on mathematical models of real-world processes, their formulation in terms of differential equations, and methods of solutions, both numerical and analytical, of the models. The main emphasis of the course is on practical problems which arise in industry, commerce, medicine, and in the environmental and life sciences.

About University
The University of Limerick (UL) is a public research university located in Limerick, Ireland. It was founded in 1972 as the National Institute for Higher Education, Limerick, and became a university in September 1989. UL's campus is situated on both sides of the River Shannon, covering a significant area of land. The university offers a cooperative education program that provides students with the opportunity to gain work experience as part of their degree. The institution has had several presidents over the years, with Professor Kerstin Mey currently serving as the president.
