The École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) is a constituent of the University of Quebec network. Founded in 1974, ÉTS specializes in engineering teaching and research and technology transfer. It trains engineers and researchers and maintains a close partnership with the business community and industry, both with large companies and with SMEs. ÉTS trains 25% of all Quebec engineers and ranks second in Canada in terms of the number of engineering degrees awarded annually at the undergraduate level.
