Ontario Tech University, also known as Ontario Tech, is a public research university situated in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The university has a main campus on a large tract of land in northern Oshawa, as well as a satellite campus in downtown Oshawa. It is a co-educational institution with seven academic faculties. Established in 2002 as the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), the university underwent a rebranding in 2018 and is now officially known as Ontario Tech University. Over the years, the university has expanded its main campus by constructing several new buildings. Additionally, in 2011, a secondary campus was opened in downtown Oshawa. The university boasts a strong alumni network with over 25,500 members.
