Western Sydney University

Western Sydney University, formerly known as the University of Western Sydney, is a public research university located in the Greater Western region of Sydney, Australia. It was established in 1989 after the merger of the Nepean College of Advanced Education and the Hawkesbury Agricultural College. The Macarthur Institute of Higher Education was also integrated into the university during the same year. In 2001, the university underwent a restructuring process to become a single multi-campus institution instead of a federation. In 2015, the university underwent a rebranding and changed its name to Western Sydney University. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher research degrees. It has campuses in Bankstown, Blacktown, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Parramatta, and Penrith.
